You sweat the angst Of regret The currents seep in And carry you along To places you don’t want to be But at least It feels natural And that has to count for something. Beyond that Is the open ocean And while it may be terrifying To pour into the expanse It beats falsely On a rocky discolored edge With a broken wing Dumping salt on the sand As emptiness arrives Without a story. Fitting in Isn’t necessarily Belonging Yet what is, Remains Undetermined. |
