Sindhoora Pemmaraju \ Spring 2015
* Surrender ‘Surrender yourself unto me and you will be fine”, He says but I want more than ‘fine’. I want flesh abandoning my bones. I want days when my heart is raw and chafed; days when my heart is plump and fresh for plucking; days when I photosynthesize in places the sun touches me, days when I am swollen with love; times when my days feel like the word vegetables sounds. Fresh, untiring and healthy. Undiluted regret; anxiety, churning acid in my stomach, this is what I want; days when I am tender like wet grass pressed against feet. I want human in the most feral untamed form. * |
